This is a really pretty bench in my entryway. Good spot to sit and put shoes on/off. Bench lifts to reveal a shallow storage area, great for gloves, scarves, etc. The bench cushion's light color could show dirt. It is upholstered in a taupe-y fabric with a slight nap. It looks way more expensive that is. It adds an elegant, tasteful, pretty touch to my entryway and is funtional too, with the storage compartment. - DrummerGirl
