My island is beautiful. I live in NYC, and spaces are small and need tobe efficiently utilized. I have opted to use my island as a dining table in a nook, rather than an actual kitchen island. This island was purchased as a gift. I searched the internet looking for islands and when I saw this one, I couldn't find anything more beautiful or practical. I then searched the internet to find the best price and One Way Furniture had it! When the island arrived I was incredibly pleased with the quality. The attention to detail in the craftmanship was incredible. This piece comes complete, no assembly required as it is a real solid piece of furniture. I did order the bar stools too and they did require some assembly but were easy to do. I could not have been more pleased with this purchase! - Tea

I really went out on a limb and trusted the prior reviews and I was not disappointed! I ordered the island in black and this island is gorgeous! It is solid, well-made and compatible with a number of different decors! The drawers and doors open and close easily and the height is perfect for me and I'm only 5'1". I did, however, opt to buy different stools with cushions and backs as opposed to the hard wooden ones they suggest. This is the new hangout in the kitchen!! Highly Recommended! - Hydyho

I received the island, thinking we would have to assemble it, but it was all assenbled [...]. I love the island, it fits well in my medium kitchen. I had bought different swivel bar stools for it. I highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a well made island, beware have lots of man power the unit is very heavy. - Chris

I could not be happier with my purchase. This island looks better in real life than it does in the picture. It has transformed our kitchen and the kids love it. As another poster had mentioned, be aware that the shelves and cutting board are tied under the island. You might think that they forgot to send them but they are underneath. I would order from this company again, no question - Shar
