Assembled coat tree looks exactly as in picture - really great, love it, doesn't fall over. But: 1) several scuffs on main post -- not enough to bother returning it, but for the price, should not be that way; (2) had to get help attaching hooks to top part of post because the little wrench supplied was difficult to use; (3)one part was missing - turns out, was not necessary, but still caused worry during assembly. - noname

Used in the Living Room, carries a ton of coats, hats and scarves. Works well with my decor. Easy to put together and even though it's a bit heavy..... It's SOLID !!!!! - Michael

This handsome coat stand shows more respect for guest garments than mingling and crushing them into an already maxed-out closet. For my own convenience I set out a coat and accessories that I plan to wear. Afterwards the rack quickly receives my garments for airing or drying out. I can store them in the closet later at my leisure. - Neatnik

This coat rack if the sturdiest I've ever had and looks very nice in the room. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 is it was a little crooked when I first assembled it. I found you had to maneuver it around a little while screwing the pole in to make sure it stayed straight on the base. - Picky Shopper

The coat rack had to be sturdy because my music students coming in and out will be putting their coats on it. Very sturdy, very good match to our 1927 Victorian home. The disappointments I had were that the "brass" hooks are painted a swirly black and brass color and close up it looks tacky. I wish that they were just plain brass color and that they were rounded instead of squared on the edges. The feet aren't as delicately carved as they were in the picture, but no one will be getting down on their knees to inspect it! The most important thing is that it is sturdy and it reflects the era of the decor in the entryway of my home. - Music Teacher
