Hesitant about paying this much for a bed, but I downsized and had no room for a spare queen. I didn't put it together myself, but 2 friends did and didn't seem to have much trouble. They didn't even know what it looked like. The mattress is memory foam, but only 6". Not sure yet how comfy that will be. - Retiree2020
The perfect guest bed. Sturdy piece of furniture with a really comfortable mattress. Doesn't wiggle or jiggle when you lie on it. The mattress is completely enclosed in the cabinet when it is stored so it is protected from dust or anything else that might damage it. The bed is very easy to open and close but this is a very solid piece of furniture! We are using it in our family room and have our TV and DVD etc on top for everyday use. We love it! - Lee
I asked the sales person about pros and cons. I assembled it myself and it took about 4 hours. The sales person did not tell me that your head and upper body is in a box (about two feet). As much as this is comfortable and attractive, I would not have purchased it due to the safety of hitting my head when arising or turning on/off lights. I think I will have to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed to avoid striking my head on the enclosed top of the bed. It seems like it should not have been as expensive as it was because it required assembly. - LN

Great for a Manhattan apartment. It is a solid stable piece. My only concern is how long the mattress will last when being used every day. I don't imagine a replacement is too expensive. I may also add a mattress topper, but it is not necessary so far. - Markepa2
