Assembly was ok, holding power is exceptional, love the fact that I don't have to take up a large portion of a wall to store all my movies. No cons at this time. - doublea

I really like this media tower, but it's not quite as well-built as the "Media Tower 1000" - its slightly-smaller cousin. When I assembled the MT1000 last year, I put some "magic mover" sliders under the base to make it easier to move without scratching my floors. When I did the same for the "Media Tower Grande", the base flexed slightly in the middle, preventing it from rotating smoothly. I had to remove the sliders from the base in order to have a working unit. Upon inspection, I determined that the base for the MT1000 was thicker than the base from the MTG. Venture Horizon should update the MTG to use the thicker base that my MT1000 uses. If they have since modified the MT1000 to use the thinner base (perhaps to cut costs), they should reconsider this decision. Because of this, I am a little bit concerned about how it will work if placed on a thick carpet, but since I don't have thick carpets in my home, I have no way of knowing of my concern is justified or not. All this having been said, I am happy with my Media Tower Grande. Although it's barely large enough to hold my entire DVD collection (around 700-800 discs), it is larger than any other media towers made and takes up significantly less space than book shelves (what I was previously using.) I may decide to get a second one in the future, if I can find a good place to put it. - David C.

We have been searching for the perfect piece of furniture to house (display) our 1400+ DVD's. We have them alphabetized and organized and the only thing we could come up with (we thought) was to do one entire wall (floor to ceiling) of our den with shelving. We would then need a ladder to reach the top shelves, etc. Then, one day, I was googling for DVD storage options and came across yoru website offering a revolving tower that housed 756 DVD's! Voila! Exactly what we were looking for, however, we weren't sure of the quality. I didn't want our den to look like a video store so we were a little uncertain, but we went ahead and purchased two (2) of these Venture Horizon's Revolving Media Towers in oak finish to match our roll-top desk. When they arrived [...]we were thrilled at the quality of the wood finish and the ease of assembly. My husband and I had them put together in no time and every piece was there (with extras) and all holes were drilled properly and they look beautiful! We got all the DVD's in there with room to spare and what an attractive site when entering our den. Thank you for making such a wonderful product. Highly recommend this piece if you have a lot of CD's, DVD's or VHS tapes. - Paula
