The banker's lamp that I ordered originally was no longer in manufacture. One Way Furniture worked with me to find a lamp that would fill my needs--an uncolored shade in the banker style, and a little taller than the average lamp. This lamp does shed a clear light with a 60 watt bulb. At 20 inches, it is not as tall as the one I wanted, but that problem was solved by keeping it on top of a 5" stationary box. I love the look--rubbed bronze finish--and the weight is excellent to keep the lamp from moving when the chain is pulled. However, if the chain is pulled at an angle, you can still tip the lamp. And the lamp is top-heavy; when picking it up, you need to grab it near the wide top, instead of the more comfortable cernter of the shaft. Also, the shade tips down and has to be nudged up every once in a while. It can be tightened, but not enough to completely do away with this problem.If you are willing to put up with the miner inconveniences, you will be happy with the look and service. I needed a lamp I could use on a table for desk work and sewing, and it has served that purpose very well. - Crafter

Great little lamp. We use it on the card table with a 25W incandescent lamp and that is enough illumination. The base is one solid color rather than having lighter accents as shown in the pic. I may add highlights. The shade has random accent swirls like thick cream in lighter milk of the same color. - catsnout
