I searched the Internet for a nightstand and matching dresser in shabby-chic white or ecru, for our guestroom (mother-in-law room). There were lots of generic pieces for cheaper but which got reviews like "drawers don't work," "fell apart" or "yuck." Although you don't have to "build the unit" it does require you putting the feet on the item. Easy enough to do - no tools required. Not high end furniture, but sturdy. Looks just like the picture. - Gracie
