Hillsdale Malibu Daybed in Brown Leather

WoW! I cant believe how amazing this daybed is. I originally saw it on their TV commercial and went to their site to look closer. The design was perfect for my guest room which is kind of contemporary / transitional. My husband even loves it :o) - Stacey

I purchased this to replace a bunk bed/futon combo that my son used as a child. This day bed is a very nice comtemporary "adult" piece. Good quality leather, overall well made. Simple to assemble. A standard twin mattress leaves room on all sides for easy bed-making ability and you can use a regular twin comforter rather than a special day bed type as it easily tucks down the back. I opted not get the trundle and it works great for storage underneath (luggage fits well). - Barbara

I use it in a spare room as a guest bed and a sofa for my kids to sit on when playing video games. The only problem is that its not big enough for an extra long twin, but a regular twin leaves a gap at each end. I got to bolster pillows to cover the space. - DL

Using in a small guest room. Despite the room's size, the daybed works. Having a gap at either end of the daybed's top mattress is obvious (the trundle mattress fits snugly), but easily camouflaged by pillows and a rolled up coverlet functioning as a bolster. The fit is very tight with the trundle; The mattress can not be made and slid under the top bed. This is inconvenient, but workable for a quest room bed that I will use infrequently. - Alison
