Beautiful earthy but distinctive piece. Lots of character, better than in the photo. Quite heavy but solidly constructed. Color of finish is unique, it subtly changes with lighting. Natural daylight, more honey undertones but night goes darker, therefore, it mixes well with medium and dark woods. This wood is distressed, which I personally love. The slate is natural so it's bumpy, groves etc. Pleased with the protective finish over the slate and wood, without killing the character. The slate pulls olive tones in daylight, more blacks/grey at night. The metal is more of a solid, cocoa color. Base doesn't look antique but happy that it blends nicely with black metal pieces in my room. Very pleased with my purchase as is my family. My only negative, it took too long to ship, poor communication on that issue but loved the delivery service into my home and removal of packaging. - Rhody Girl

We own a rental resort condo and needed something solid that could withstand glasses left on top too long without staining. We also had a small living room area and it worked well for servicing both the sofa and the accent chair. The various colors blend well with other earth tones in the room. - DUB
