I needed a glass table which was not very big and where I could keep my packets of cream. Shouldn't be a problem at all - John

I bought this piece along with the 2 complementing pieces- my living room looks great. All 3 were very easy to put together, just used power drill and screwdriver. The glass top adds elegance for a reasonable price. - Becky the shopper

I ordered two of these side tables & one coffee table from the group. After putting together one side table, I can say that the quality is not perfect. This was not a result of shipping or packing. The finish actually has imperfections that - had I spent more money - I would not be content with. I had read reviews about such flaws(on this & other sites)knowing I might have to decide what I could live with and what I couldn't, considering the price I paid. I am pleased that, even with the minor issues (splintering drill holes which made it a challenge to install the dowel caps & a couple of darker streaks on the surfaces) the finished piece is really fabulous. You'd have to be truly inspecting daily to take notice of the imperfections. As the side table stands next to my sofa, I'm thrilled with the overall look & scale. I have a small living room space and needed something small in scale. I would NOT recommend these pieces for larger areas! Way too subdued for bigger spaces. The finish color is true to the photos -- pretty dark. The amount of reddish tones in some of the "espresso" stains can be hard to detect& I was actually hoping for a little more reddish cast. According to me, there is no red undertone, but I can't say that I am disappointed with the deep dark brown finish. I've put together many furniture pieces (especially with this type of cam lock system)and I can tell you that it was easy. Maybe it was because I am so familiar with this system, I really didn't refer to the written directions as much as the diagram. I took my time (essential when putting together inexpensive pieces!) and with patience and deliberation, I had it together without any big problems. As I mentioned, the drill holes (not visible from the surface area) were pretty bristly from drilling - apparently no sanding was done and required a bit of resourcefulness on my part to shave those gently away with a box cutter so as to insert the cosmetic dowel plugs. Again, I didn't mind - I got these tables for a song and with reasonable expectations of the quality, they were just the style & scale I had hoped for. - Dzinr4u
